Abstract

In this paper, a low-relative dielectric permittivity substrate material PTFE (É" = 2.08, tan δ = 0.0004) with the periodic implantation of air cylinders has been analyzed at 600 GHz. Further, it has been shown that the effective permittivity of the material in this case is reduced below 1.0 and due to this the size of the patch is increased which may reduce the fabrication constraint of the antenna at such high frequency while maintaining the high directivity.
