Abstract

This chapter presents the application and applicability of digital twins to healthcare facilities management. It considers the framing synopsis of hospital buildings and theoretical perceptions for hospital facilities research. The chapter also presents the theoretical frameworks that have been recognised and identified for hospital facilities studies. The overview of digital twin technology and its application within the healthcare sector was also considered in this chapter. A Delphi study report on the barriers and critical success factors to digital twin maintenance management of healthcare facilities in developing countries was discussed in this chapter. This chapter has demonstrated that multiple factors influence the digital twin application in healthcare facilities management.
