Abstract
The development of a practical Best Management Practice (BMP) Decision Support Models helps in water treatment processes and in flood prevention. Use of BMP in the Unites States and sustainable urban drainage system (SUDS) in the United Kingdom has been successful in reducing flood and the impact of polluted runoff to the water quality. Through BMP techniques, water is either infiltrated or conveyed more slowly to watercourses from sewer systems via ponds, swales, and filter strips, reducing peak flow during heavy storms. BMP mimic the drainage patterns of natural watershed and improve quality of discharged water.
