Abstract
Borehole data near the northeastern margin of the Karoo Basin reveal a 120 m thick coal-bearing succession of the Permian Ecca Group overlying Permo-Carboniferous Dwyka Tillite. The lowermost Ecca deposits reflect processes of deglaciation, with a complex array of glaciolacustrine and glaciofluvial facies.-from Authors
