Abstract

The case study highlights the challenges faced by Company X, the importance of digital transformation, and the limitations of standalone digital solutions. The chief information officer (CIO) assembled a team of engineering researchers led by Professor Dr. Arnesh Telukdarie to address these challenges. The team developed a digital business strategy aiming to achieve total business visibility, automation of non-value-adding activities, and digitalization of various aspects. The strategy offers potential benefits such as improved efficiency, enhanced product development, and better non-conformance management. The study emphasizes the importance of aligning digital initiatives with business objectives and effective change management for successful digital transformation.
