Abstract

Technological advancement helps to improve the performance of economies, provided it is channelled to productive sectors. This research explored the factors necessary for creating an enabling environment for the success of Education 5.0 in Zimbabwe. The study was qualitative in nature and used published scholarly work obtained from different online repositories. Documentary analysis was used to analyze literature. From the study, it was established that lack of physical and technological infrastructure, regular power supply, technological experts, and financial resources adversely affect the effectiveness and efficiency of Education 5.0 in Zimbabwe. Other challenges cited were the lack of supportive legislative and regulatory frameworks. Research findings indicated that in order to create an enabling environment for the success of Education 5.0, financial resources must be provided, physical infrastructure developed, human capital attracted, socio-economic factors addressed, and supportive legislation and regulatory frameworks implemented. The policy implication of the study is that there is a need for a holistic approach to create a conducive environment that allows Education 5.0 to be effective and efficient.
