Abstract

Engineering societies have developed programmes and activities designed to have an impact on engineering education. A wide range of possible approaches exist for engineering societies to consider in their quest to contribute to engineering education. This chapter describes several factors for the consideration of engineering societies that are planning to expand and/or establish a portfolio of programmes and activities to promote and support engineering and engineering education through social innovation.
