title = "Conclusions: The Russia-Ukraine War and Sustainable Development Goals in Africa",
abstract = "The last chapter of the book, titled {\textquoteleft}The Russia and Ukraine Conflict: Implications for Sustainable Development Prospects in Africa{\textquoteright}, serves as the conclusion. The primary goal of this chapter is to provide theoretical insights into the Russia-Ukraine conflict and its underlying causes. To do so, the chapter begins by giving a brief overview of the historical relationship between Russia and Ukraine since the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991. This historical context helps us understand the reasons that led to the confrontation on February 24, 2022. Additionally, the chapter delves into the concept of sustainable development. It is important to note that this work sits at the intersection of two distinct areas of academic inquiry: conflict studies and literature on sustainable development. The book plays a significant role in shedding light on the evolving consequences and potential responses for various nations during an ongoing conflict. This is achieved through a comprehensive analysis of multiple case studies that effectively illustrate the outcomes of the war.",
