Abstract
Bambara groundnut, a low maintenance fast-growing staple legume and an important source of nutrition is also known to thrive under unfavourable abiotic conditions though having not been genetically improved by man. Nonetheless, this promising crop has heretofore remained largely neglected even with the eminent reality of food insecurity, malnutrition, and climate change in different parts of the world. This book draws attention to the importance of Bambara groundnuts as a cheap source of dietary and functional benefits for humans and animals, as well as explores potentials for its industrial applications in today's society.
