Abstract

In situ gelling hydrogels are versatile materials with potential for drug delivery, tissue engineering, wound healing, and other medical fields. This chapter provides an overview of commercially available hydrogels, discussing their formulation, properties, and diverse applications. This chapter also reviews various hydrogels suitable for controlled drug release, wound dressing, ophthalmic applications, and regenerative medicine. It also discusses challenges and considerations, such as regulatory hurdles, scalability, and safety concerns. This chapter offers insights for researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals in biomedical applications.
