Abstract

In the area of Internet-of-Things, devices are supposed to collect or exchange the data by using limited number of resources in which spectrum utilization is one of the most essential factor. This paper presents the overview, applications, characteristics of Internet-of-Things Cognitive radio as well as the combination of both for better spectrum utilization. In today's scenario, IoT is becoming the hot topic in communication world because everyday devices are being combined with internet connectivity. Numbers of devices are connecting in this network so a lot of spectrum is needed. Since the spectrum is finite resource therefore we introduced the idea of Cognitive radio networks (CRNs) in Internet-of-Things for providing the better and efficient way of utilizing spectrum in communication world.
