Abstract

A γ-irradiation-induced stress metabolite with antifungal activity was isolated from pitted regions of γ-irradiated Citrus peel and identified as 4-(3-methyl-2-butenoxy) isonitrosoacetophenone on the basis of spectroscopic evidence and single crystal X-ray structural determination.
