Abstract

Hydrogels have emerged as versatile materials in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine due to their ability to mimic the native extracellular matrix and support cell growth and function. Among the various hydrogel types, stimuli-responsive hydrogels stand out for their unique properties, which allow them to respond to environmental cues and modulate their behavior accordingly. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of cell-laden stimuli-responsive hydrogels, focusing on their fabrication techniques and diverse applications. Cell-laden stimuli-responsive hydrogels represent a promising class of biomaterials with the potential to revolutionize the field of regenerative medicine. Their fabrication methods and applications presented in this chapter serve as a foundation for researchers and engineers aiming to harness the full potential of these materials in the development of innovative biomedical solutions.
