Abstract
In the molecule of the title compound, SePPh2Bz (Bz = benzyl, CH2C6H5) or C19H17PSe, the Se atom and the three aryl groups adopt a distorted tetrahedral arrangement about the P atom. The effective cone angle was calculated to be 167°.
