Abstract
One of the critical steps in mineral beneficiation is the process where the gangue is removed from the ore. This step in a processing workflow can either be performed by physical separation or by chemical separation. This chapter focuses on physical separation methods that are relevant to the case studies that have been selected for the mineral processing section of this volume. As such, not all physical separation methods are covered in this section.
