Abstract
This chapter explores the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in addressing poverty within the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Through a content analysis approach, the study examines how AI technologies can enhance data collection via poverty maps, revolutionize agriculture, improve educational access, and facilitate digital financial inclusion. The findings reveal that AI is pivotal in identifying and addressing poverty hotspots, optimizing farming practices, personalizing education, and providing financial services to underserved populations. This chapter underscores the necessity for governments, development institutions, and organizations to invest in and scale AI technologies to leverage their benefits for poverty alleviation and wealth creation.
