abstract = "Due to deregulation in the energy market and rapid increase in the power demand, the power system components are working closely to their permissible limits. Under this environment, the systems' stability and security are the major concern for the system operator. Transient stability and security constrained optimal power flow (TSSCOPF) problem can be developed by employing with OPF line loading and rotor angle trajectory constraints. This paper employs a newly developed variant of GWO named as Intelligent Grey Wolf Optimizer (IGWO) to solve TSSCOPF problem. The application of IGWO has been investigated on TSSCOPF problem for IEEE-30 test bus system. After observing the results and rotor angle trajectories under different severe contingencies, it can be stated that the proposed method is suitable for TSSCOPF problem. Further, the comparison of this variant with some recently published approaches is also presented. The promising results establish the efficacy of IGWO for solving TSSCOPF problem.",
