Abstract

In the present paper, we have developed an algorithm for the channel assignment of a cellular communication system. We consider a cellular communication environment that introduces co-channel and adjacent channel interference and attenuation of the transmitted signal due to shadowing. We have evaluated the system in terms of total system performance such as system capacity, blocking probability and forced termination probability of the call.
