Abstract

This era belongs to the technology of automation. Achieving precision and accuracy in a task is now possible with the advent of automotive science and technology. Any crisis at any point of time can be now be dealt with autonomously. This paper presents a MATLAB Simulink model of a microgrid which is subjected to two faults which were detected and mitigated with the aid of a multi agent framework built in Java Agent Development Environment (JADE). Development and simulation of the microgrid in MATLAB-Simulink has been discussed at length. The model demonstrated is of decentralized radial configuration. It caters to the need of present scenario as it emphasizes on the electric vehicle battery oriented microgrid. It culminates Photovoltaic (PV) power plant with it making it more environmental friendly. The present era of environmental concern demands such a model microgrid which can fulfill the vision of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) in microgrid. The paper concludes on the note of successful restoration of system through the agents.
