Abstract

In Africa, as in other developing countries, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are progressively becoming the target of cyber-attacks. This is because such SMEs often store valuable and sensitive data of customers, clients etc, and because often they do not have the security expertise and the financial resources to protect the confidentiality and integrity of their data. Such companies need a cost-effective, user-friendly and easy to maintain solution for securing their data and information in a transparent way. This paper introduces such a solution called SFSData, which secures data and information stored locally or through some cloud facility.
