Abstract
Industry is one of the primary drivers of economic expansion. However, industrial businesses and workers are directly impacted by the changes of contemporary technology and the growing complexity of products and operations. Industry 4.0 highlighted how technologically it is digitalized and oriented toward new technology. The concentration of Industry 5.0 is on the worker, who performs a vital part in the industrial process and whose importance was concentrated during the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary forces behind the introduction of these new paradigms are briefly discussed in this research, after which a literature-based analysis is conducted to show how the two paradigms differ in three crucial areas: people, organizations, and technology. The general study is that there has been a considerable shift in the primary research aims from sustainability to human-centricity. This article highlights the key aspects and problems surrounding the transition toward Industry 5.0.
