A Novel Integrated Power Line Communication Coupler using Triaxial Conductors

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel method for integrating leakage inductance and series capacitance in transformer-based power line communication (PLC) couplers into a single structure. The resulting lumped tuned circuit is optimized for broadband communication. The design utilizes triaxial conductors, which may offer enhanced shielding capabilities. Design, simulation, and construction of the triaxial structure are presented, and measured frequency responses are compared with simulation results.
