Abstract

The study of aluminum alloys cannot be overemphasized due to their sustainable mechanical, corrosion, and lightweight characteristics. This mini-review paper reviews various aluminum alloys used for the machining process. This study looks at the importance of aluminum alloy's application in the industry, reviewing their behaviour in machining processes under vegetable oil, mineral oil, and Nano lubricant. In order to understand the performance analysis of some selected aluminium alloys (Al) such as Al6060, Al6061, Al6063, Al2024, Al7050, Al7075, and Al8112 Alloys. From the review, it can be seen that bio-degradable Nano-lubricant assists in improving response parameters like surface roughness, materials removal rate, and cutting force during the machining. Furthermore, the authors highlight the challenges of aluminum alloys during machining operations and give a sustainable recommendation of solutions to solve the said challenges.
