Abstract

The paper details the development of a courseware for LabVIEW. LabVIEW is a graphical programming language that serves as a platform for measurements and automation. The courseware is intended to be customized for South African school leaving candidates, further referred to as pre-college learners. The courseware is aimed at authenticated remote learning (online training) as well as classroom-based facilitated training. The development is an integrated compilation of experiments based on LabVIEW and PHP/SQL (to administer and manage the learners). The courseware is developed in alignment with the outcomes proposed in the new curriculum statements for South Africa, but is also applicable to other countries, in general.
