Abstract

Littering can be a prevailing problem for which studies attribute to different contributing factors that range from infrastructure limitations to problematic behaviours. This paper presents a gamified Internet of Things solution that targets multiple such factors to encourage communities to engage in sustainable waste disposal practices through participant education and reward.
