Abstract
The aim of the present paper is to obtain a common fixed point theorem by using a new continuity condition. Our theorem generalizes a multitude of common fixed point theorems and is, perhaps, the first theorem guaranteeing the existence of a common fixed point even when all the mappings may be discontinuous and some of the mappings may not satisfy the compatibility condition.
