Abstract

The title compound C₇H₁₀O₅, crystallizes in the space group P3₁] as individual molecules on a three old screw axis, and is stabilized by strong intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the methylene alcohol [O-H ⋯ O 1.75 (5) Å] and the two secondary alcohol moieties [O-H ⋯ O 1.81 (3) and 1.91 (3) Å].
