Prof Nadine Petersen was invited by the Department of Basic Education (DBE) along with UNESCO to speak at the 14th Policy Dialogue Forum at the Capital on the Park in Sandton on 27 February 2024. The Policy Dialogue Forum, hosted by UNESCO, is a global platform for education stakeholders, which aims to foster advocacy, knowledge exchange, peer learning and monitoring of progress towards target 4.c of SDG 4 on teachers and teaching. Prof Petersen was part of Plenary 2 which discussed the topic: "Strengthening policies for the professionalization of the teacher workforce”.
